Post by: maid on August 07, 2008, 10:42:37 pm
Can anyone tell me if you can zoom in on an avi movie?

Also why does the player tools suddenly appear in the middle of a movie?

Cheers

Try the mouse wheel over the movie.

It shows when your mouse moves even a tiny bit.  I sometimes find my optical mice (esp. The older and cheaper ones) tends to false move and light up more often on some surfaces than others.  Try putting a matte surface under your mouse.

Cheers

Make sure the "Use Windows Media Player engine for video playback when possible" option is deselected, then check the list under DirectShow Filters and ensure that AVI is checked.

I have all the below and it still does not work  ?

Any more ideas anyone???

    * You click on the movie before trying the mouse wheel
    * You have the latest Media Center 12 installed (look at the top of this board)
    * You're using Direct Show to play the AVI (should be the default, but look in Options > Playback > DirectShow playback settings...)
