Is anyone else out there using a DVICO tuner (DVB-T) ? Is your channel change about 5sec per channel like mine?
I'm using a FusionHDTV DVB-T DualDigital 4 (http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/ENG/products/DVBTdual4.aspx)
The channel change in the DVICO software is noticebly faster than MC - which is painful, and the wife refuses to use it as a consequence.
So, is it just me? Have I missed a trick somewhere?

Sorry not much help.....I've got a DVico DVB-T Plus tuner and it changes channels quickly - it's been a long time since MC12 was "slow" at changing channels for me.
Thanks
Nathan

Another thought, channel changing is slower if you have "Start DTV in Timeshift" mode on in your TV Options.

Thanks Jmone, I did think of the timeshifting, but that helped only a little unfortunately.

This seems to be a codec related issue. Selecting certain codecs speeds channel changes up to near-instant - if the signal strength is half decent.

So which codecs are the fastest for you?

At the moment I'm using the MPV filter that comes with CCCP and AC3Filter.
The DScaler MPEG-2 Decoders and Cyberlink also are very fast. (DScaler may actually be faster - but it's so close as not to matter - I will check video quality more carefully when I get home, which my change decision)
I found FFDShow was significantly slower on my system (a VERY vanilla XP)

Hmm, thanks.
The MPV filter seems to cause a few problems with some people in terms of MC stability especially with DVD playback will be interesting to see if you start getting crashes using it for TV....

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll try it with DVD as well as soon as I can...
