Title: Media Center 12 automatically recognizes Ipod and then auto. ejects it
Post by: markp99 on August 12, 2008, 12:42:37 pm
I am markp99's wife, and he has had me up and running with Media Center 12 and my Ipod, and all has been going well (until now).  Do you have any idea why Media Center 12 would initially automatically recognize the Ipod so that the Ipod screen says "connected," and then immediately the screen says, "ejecting," and Media Center no longer sees it.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Leigh,
The short answer is "no".  I don't know why.  But you could try a reboot of the PC.  Check the cable connections first to make sure they are tight.

If you have another cable, try it.

Good luck with the problem.

I'd guess cable too.  I've had my old Sansa's cable go bad on me, and it'd do flaky stuff like that.

Does it work flawlessly with the PC otherwise?
