Title: Feature? Warn Before Ripping Duplicates
Post by: kamiller42 on August 12, 2008, 11:53:08 pm
If there option to have MC warn me before I attempt to rip a CD in a format where the files already exist in the library? All it does now is proceed with ripping and putting a sequential number in the file name. Ugh. It would be a real time saver to have MC ask me if I want to proceed with the rip when I click rip and MC finds tracks of that format already exist. Bonus points if it would ask if I would like the following options in a single dialog: a) Overwrite existing files. b) Rip with new filenames. c) Cancel rip request. This would be something like Vista's file overwrite confirmation box.

one more vote for such a function.
plus a reminder of the benefit of a function for being able to exchange the file referenced by a libraryitem (eg. when re-encoding a CD from mp3 to APE).
