In the 'General' options I activated 'Run Media Server on Windows Startup' and in the 'Startup' options I also wanted to activate 'Location: Audio' and 'Mode: Theater View'
If I now start my media server computer it just starts the media server but prevents the media center to start automatically with theater view...
I have to manually click 'Show Media Center' and switch it manually to 'Theater View'...
what am I doing wrong? or how can I resolve my problem?
thanks for a hint

Try a sleep in between starting Media Server and starting MC.
Media Server "is" Media Center. It's just in a smaller footprint.
Another way to do it might be to eliminate Media Server, but set MC servers to run in MC.
Reversing the order of startup might also work.

Jim,
thanks for the response but I think you misunderstood:
I set both checkmarks in the program options and the program gets started in Media Server mode but just silently forgets my setting to start the Media Center in Theater View... how should I be able to turn anything around?
or did I misunderstand you?
it seems that I can just have one of those two options checked... right? (if this is true then it's not reasonable to be able to set both checkmarks at the same time)
thanks,
Martin

The "Run Media Server at Windows Startup" doesn't run a full version of MC it only runs a cut-down "server" version, so it has no user interface etc.
So if you want MC to load at windows startup in Theater View AND have the media server running;
- Put MC in your startup folder and enable the option to start in TheaterView.
- Run MC and start the server, now next time you start MC it will start the server automatically.
- Disable the opton "Run Media Server at Windows Startup", since you are now running a full MC from the startup folder
Hope this helps.
