Hello,
I have a 68cm tv and a htpc with jriver.
We have to have the resolution at around 800 x 600 to be able to see text on the screen.
If I set it to theater view everything goes blank and I have to reboot.
Am I correct in thinking this is due to the resolution settings?
Cheers

That's probably not Theater View. That's probably Display View. Try hitting F11 several times.
-
What will that do?
Are you saying that I have chosen display veiw and not theater view.
Which view should I have to be able to read anything on the screen.
Cheers

im not sure if this would help, but under options>theaterview advanced you can set the framerate, and disable use high quality drawing.
F11 switches between all the different views.

Hi,
The tv doesnt actually go of it just switches the display off.
Is this because we are using ycbr

This may be a display device problem. Please post your system info. You can get it from the Help menu inside MC. What display card (or integrated display device) do you have? Have you kept Windows and the device drivers up-to-date?
What exact display options have you set? Particularly, have you set MC to change the full screen display resolution? (The "desktop resolution" setting should be fine if you want to always use 800x600.)
Does it work if you connect the PC with a standard PC monitor instead of TV?
Is this because we are using ycbr
Do you mean a software setting for the color space (YCbCr) or the physical connection type (component YCbCr) ?
If it is a software setting where did you set it and have tried any other option?

The video hardware may not support 3D.

Hi,
My display option is set to desktop.
All drivers are up to date as this is a new system
Theater view works on my other computer with a moniter.
Yes I mean a software setting for the color space (YCbCr)
System info Intel Pentium Dual CPU 2.40 ghz 2 gig ram
maybe its the Catalyst settings??
