Title: Web Remote start up error
Post by: Philip on July 27, 2002, 03:59:01 am
Hello,

I installed web remote and got a message saying "Unable to bind Port". This, I assume is because I am running a webserver on port 80 already. I was not able to change the port setting because the plugin configuration page is blank (I get a frame full of white). Now I cannot start MediaJukebox because it is unable to bind to a port.

Is there a registry setting I can change to tell webremote to behave itself?

I could disable the webserver, change the settings and then re-enable my webserver, but where is the easy-to-use fun in that?

Well, it's been done and it's working now.

A few suggestions. Is it not possible to have web remote actually indicate to you which song is playing? I think that there is a large amount of scope for this little program. -- See my other post on a shoutcast-type plugin....

You might take a look at Glissando.  In another thread here.  Also Netremote, in an older thread.
