Title: How can I play audio only from DVD's I own?
Post by: WolfWalker on September 17, 2008, 06:28:34 pm
I have some celtic music that is on 7 DVDs with dancing and all that.  I would like to just play the music on my creativelabs media player.  Any advice?

There is probably a much smarter way to do this, but once, when I needed to record something, I played the DVD on a DVD player, fed the output to the sound card on the PC, then used MC to record.

I was afraid that it was going to be your answer!

You can strip the audio from a dvd with http://www.castudio.org/dvdaudioextractor/ (http://www.castudio.org/dvdaudioextractor/)

I have not tried it but heard that it works well.

I was going to suggest this. I've used it and it works wonderfully! Outputs files to OGG, MP3, Wave or FLAC. Well worth the money (just like MC  8) )
