Title: MC12 and Playlists
Post by: sch phase on September 28, 2008, 10:37:00 am
I think I know the answer before I post, but would just like confirmation
Three networked PC's all running MC12, music is stored locally on each PC, but folders are all sync'd so are identical.
I can't seem to be able to move a playlist from one instance of MC12 to another as obviously the file paths are different, so apart from using the server option, is there any way of moving playlists around between MC12 successfully ?

If you can remap drives and/or rename folders such that music is stored in same location on each PC then you have several easy options.

To move all playlists from one PC to another all you have to do is copy the library file playlistx.jmd from the master PC to the others. Note that this will overwrite all playlists at the destination.

To move a single playlist you can export the playlist and import at the destination.

If you are unable to make music be in the same location on each PC, then you can export a playlist and edit the paths to agree with the destination before importing.
