During work today, there had been a power outage.
I restarted my PC and ran an autoimport.
However, I forgot to power on my external drives.
--> My entire library gone...
I can understand that a library item is removed if, say, a folder is removed, but when a disk is disconnected?!
-
It happened again yesterday (on one disk only, though).
This has to be a bug?

Under MC Options, for Library and Folders, there is a setting for "Fix Broken Links". How is it set?
-
Jim's advice is good.
A background auto-import will never remove more than 10% of the files, for this very reason. However, if the import is run by the user, it does not impose this limit.

"Fix Broken Links" is set to "yes".
Should "yes (protect network drives)" be enabled instead?

That's what it's for.

Use "Yes (protect network drives)", which is the default.
It only considers a file missing if:
1) The directory the missing file is in still exists.
OR
2) The drive the missing file is on is an attached, fixed drive.
[EDIT: Jim and I are racing, and he won]

Thanks.
I've used MC since version 8, and I honestly can't say when I changed the option away from default :)
