Title: Burning Problems
Post by: Michelle on July 24, 2002, 12:28:09 pm
I cannot seem to burn a cd!  Every time I have tried I get the Error 1026.  I've already tried putting it in test mode first, and then the test goes fine without a hitch, but then when I try to burn for real it gives me the error when it's about to finish the last track.  I've tried lowering the speed to 1x, and I've unchecked the "decode mp3 files directly to the cd" option.  I've just downloaded the newest version of media jukebox yesterday and I haven't burned a cd successfullly.  I have windows xp if that helps anything. Please Help!

Did MJ ask you about your AIN (auto-insert notification) setting? It sounds like a possible culprit since the error is occurring at the end of the burn process. The "CD burning tips" help page has more information on this.

okay I've just read the part about the AIN but I'm not sure how to go about disabling it... I need directions in detail... I'm not very computer smart!

Michelle,

Which version of MJ are you using? Please post your system info here (get it from the Help menu in MJ, the option "System info...", cut and paste it into your posting). The newer versions of MJ will warn you if your "auto-insert" setting is enabled and ask if you want to disable it.

Thanks,

If you email me, I can send you a file which will turn off AIN (auto-insert notification) on your XP computer.
