I'm not sure if this is a MC13 problem (in fact, I don't think it is) but maybe someone here as had this issue and knows how to solve it while using MC13 to sync an iPod.
I'm trying to syn ca 6G "Classic" 160GB iPod. I didn't used to have problems with it. But now, when I plug in the iPod while MC is open, I get the Windows alert sound that a USB device is recognized, followed immediately by the sound that a USB device has been unplugged. The connection is secure. The drive is not showing up in Windows.
I'm scared to install iTunes to troubleshoot the software side of it.
Anyone got ideas?

Try a different cable and/or port.

I had the same problem with my Classic 80GB. Changing to a different (and direct connected) port was the solution.
