I just installed a touchscreen in my kitchen (real cool) and want to use J River MC for my multizone setup. The problem is my audio files are not organized at all. Over the years I burned and downloaded files into My Music folder and they are not organized or tagged well. When I imported my library a lot of them came up without cover art. I started using MC and going through each file and trying to get info from YADB and if that didn't work I would go online and get tha album title, enter it as a tag and then search the internet again for cover art. Before I get myself in for hours of work, is there a better way?

MC will get cover art for you, but it will take a little time.
Check your settings. I think it's under Tools/Options/General.

You could also select a few files, right click and choose Cover Art/Get from Internet.

Hey Jim,
Thanks for the advice. I did all that already. It works sometimes then other times it does not. I believe Get cover art from internet searches for cover art by Album name. Some of my rips don't have an album name. Can search be changed to look by artist or song title?
Thanks
Freddy

If you don't have an album name, you can either fill it in or you can try to get it from YADB's track lookup. Right click on it and you'll see the option.

Jim,
Thanks for your replies. I already went through the things you listed. I was hoping for a quicker way. A lot of my songs are not coming up with anything from YADB so I have been manually doing each one that I can't retrieve automatically from the internet. It seems so tedious to go 1 by 1.

You don't have to edit each track. You can edit an album by selecting it and opening the tag window (or ALT-Enter).
