a new skin is a new thread.
this skin is, just as my first born (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=38927.0) based on a theme from the past. its about east berlin, the wall, and i used a piece of prague. so, east side. but i also wanted a skin that would be pleasant to work with, and would still give me some info from acros the room.
there are some pics here: http://pix01.com/zV@gLaL
in the pictures you can see that there is no border around the option etc forms. i need this for some forms of my plugin, and it looks good with a detached display (ctrl 5). the down side is that there is one form that has no close button: the dsp form. to close it: right click on the icon in the task bar.
besides that, underneath the 12 playerbar, there is a picture where you look through the 'berlin' wall looking at an older fence (in potsdam). the other with the 13 playerbar shows the original picture of the bike used for next and previous.
there has been some pretalk about it in this thread: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=49029.0
check out the pics of the until now, unreleased beautiful skin of marko
you can download the east side skin here: http://www.gappie.nl/fotos/EastSide.zip
open it and place the folder in Megaskins in the installation folder of mc.
if you like it, you could say so here.
if you dont like it, try one of the other nice skins around here.
or even better in both cases, try to build your own.. its fun..
enjoy

thanks. :)
about the view scheme: well the one in the picture is based on relative number plays. they are calculated with some programming in a plugin i made. and making that publishable would be a lot of work and make the plugin much heavier, and, most importantly, i dont have the skills for that.
im sorry.
:(
but i would love to share the code and the smartlists involved in that view.

I like it :)
I have to say it's a lot nicer in reality than it is in the pictures somehow...

When changing between Noire and East Side, it doesn't change the top part of the skin (everything above the Audio/Images/Video buttons) until I reopen MC, or change it first to a different skin. All the buttons and sliders etc change, just not the skin background. It's fine changing between any other two skins.
Is this just me?
Not actually a problem obviously, just seems a bit odd.

its interesting is it. east side to noire and VV have this problem, from both to any other skin is working as it should. it is also no problem in mc12. in the thread i linked to in my first post, marko is also seeing this with his skin. no idea why this is...

edit.. i just downloaded the dynometal skin, and the same happens between dynometal and noire, or dynometal and east side. i give up for now.... :)
edit 2 ... found it: when the main frame topborder of a skin has the same height (in pixels) as the skin that is switch to, that part of the skin is not redrawed (so stay the same). making the skin one pixel less heigh helped... now over to the bugreport on beta forum.. 8)

Cut 'n' paste - I was born lazy ;)
Love the sailing boat, that's too cool :)
Super 'repeat' button too!
Really interesting skin, very 'light', as in 'not heavy', easy on the eyes.
I like it a lot more than I thought I would from the screenshots. Good work indeed.
