Title: Cannot install MC12

Hi,
I am attemting to install MC 12 on a system with XP SP2 , I get an error 0xc00d2b00, when I choose ignore the setup crashes while intalling MS Hotfixes.
Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't heard this one before.

Do you have any programs installed that inject themselves into other processes?  Virus-checkers, parental controls, etc. can cause this sort of thing.

Otherwise, can you tell if it's crashing _before_ trying to install the hotfix, or during?  It might be good to add a command-line switch to the installer to tell it to skip any system updates.
