Title: Tagging Dialogue in Created Library Fields
Post by: Launfal on November 16, 2008, 10:34:52 am
Okay, I made the plunge to 13, and so far, everything's working pretty much as I'd expect, except for one thing, and it's annoying.  I'm hoping it's not by design.

Using 13.0.69, I created a library field called Performer, list-delimited.  I added a column for it in my viewschemes, and so far everything is working.  Here's where it gets wierd.

When I right-click or F2 on the field to rename it, I get a dialogue box that says "Add New Tag".  I click that, get a text entry box to enter the value for the tag, hit enter, back to the first dialogue box, hit enter, and then the field populates.  That can't be the way that's supposed to work, right?  I don't get that when populating stock fields, so why would it happen with a user created one?

I set it up as a standard field, save to tags, default search item.  Is this a bug, or is there a reason for it being like this?  Either way, I don't like it.

That's the editor for list-style fields.

You should still be able to type a list in the edit box at the top.

Ok, that makes sense.  I'd never set up a list field, so that dialogue was new to me.

I'll try typing in the first box and see what happens.

Thanks for the quick reply.
