Good morning,
as a newbye I experienced some problem in using the trial version of MC12. In particular some AVI file are recognized as audio and not as video. Trying to play them, effectivly only audio can be heard.
Could it be some issue related the incorrect plugin installation or is it just because I use the trial version?
It would be nice to see how MC organizes video and reproduction quality...
Is there any relation between MC12 and current installation of Windows Media Player?
Thank you for any advice that might be addressed.

welcume to the forum. :)
the trail version of mc12 is fully functional. so that is not the problem.
you might want to check out the directshow part in the wiki. http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/DirectShow_Playback_Guide
for playback of videos the codecs of cccp is a good choice (see that article).
you can set the medium for the wrong imported files by hand. in the tags, change the media type to video.
hope it helps, and if anything is unclear, just say so.
:)

Thank you.
Everything is clear and working now. I´ve also managed to change manually the media type.
