For anyone that has upgraded to Aspi 4.7 and experienced problems, Adaptec has posted an update (4.71.1) which has fixed a problem that occurred on one of our machines.
You might want to try installing it. You can download if from the following link and follow the installation procedure:

Before upgrading to this version, one of our XP machines would simply lock-up when MJ was started. All of our other computers worked fine with the old 4.71.
