I had this problem in MC12 and apparently in MC13 it happens too. What is the reason? Am I doing anything wrong?

bump again :-\
I installed latest 13.0.115 and still the same behaviour.
The same applies for different machines I am using and latest MC 12 as well.

I believe that this is by design. MC is using 80% of your longest entry, no matter whether it is displayed or not. The reason for this is that, if it were otherwise, the screen would jump as you typed a search.

Thank you for a response, Jim.
I am afraid you are wrong - even from the screenshot I posted in the first post it is obvious that MC's behaviour does not correspond to your statement.
I did some new screenshots which should be self-explanatory:

All the lines in Lyrics field are ended with Enter key.
I believe this is NOT how MC should behave...

Any comment?

Hmm it feels sooo good to be ignored ::)

Just a guess, but just because the top line in those lyrics fields isn't that long, does that necessarily mean that every line in the lyrics field of every song in that list isn't long enough to cause that?
Am I making any sense?

Yes you are :) and that is exactly what is happening.
It seems that for some weird reason those 3 new screenshots I posted here cannot be seen so I'll try again differently (don't know what I am doing wrong because if you copy & paste those links into browser, you DO get an error however once you re-enter it you CAN see it eventually; I posted them to Picasa the very same way I did the first screenshot which apparently can be seen without any problem):

If you check these pictures one after another I think it should be pretty clear what I mean and what MC is doing.

This is the reason. The problem is that the contents of the display may change as you search, so following each set would make the screen jump around.
Can you fix your long lyrics?

You'll need to find a workaround for this.
