Title: multiple libraries
Post by: jb_alphamale on December 11, 2008, 09:18:10 am
It would be nice when you start MC to ask you which library you want to load (if more than one) and from a simple drop down menu to chose the one that you want. The behavior right now is when you have multiple libraries it opens the last one. More than that when you open the second session of MC then the last library is loaded in read only mode and then you have to switch.
Thanks.

could be an idea.

i use two library's and just made two different startup icons on my desktop each for one library using
mc13.exe /Library TheNameOfALibrary
mc13.exe /Library TheNameOfTheOtherLibrary

edit: this seems to be broken in this version of mc. crashes..  :)
i made a small bat file to choose between librarys at startup, will put it here when the library switch works again.. 8)

On startup, if a library fails to load, can MC either show an error or popup the library selector box?  Unfortunately, on my HTPC boxes, I want it to show an error for X seconds and then quit.  Otherwise, I absolutely have to remotely login (some boxes have no keyboard/mouse) to fix the problem.  I can start MC from my remote but once the error happens, I definitely have to login remotely.
