I have upraded 2 months ago from MC12.
Now I try to install a "portable install' from my Laptop running Vista on an external USB hard drive - and get the following failure:
"FAILURE COPYING LICENSE
Install Wizard can only perform a portable install if you have a valid license on this machine"
MC13 on my laptop appears to have a proper license. I also did a reboot, no success.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
PS: on my USB disk is already a portable install, with older MC13beta, installed from another PC with WinXp.

Have you tried upgrading the local copy of MC13 first?
-
That was a good hint, didn't think of that.
In the portable copy, I chose "Help - Check for Updates", but since it is MC 13.0.62 installed, Update says there are no newer versions available.
Issue is that I had immediate MC crashes when I connected that USB drive to my laptop at work and started to play a file.
Now I have backed up a New library, transferred that to the USB drive and restored it into the portable copy. Looks like the crashes are gone.

Portable Install is broken in the latest builds.

Thanks, this saves me time!
Hope it will work again in some future version. :D

That's strange it's working ok here!
