22 lbs is a lot of bird!

But even that much can't satisfy my hunger across the internet. Oh well, we're having a small neighbor party tonight. I suspect some food will emerge.

They Ate Most Of The Turkey And Half Of The Ham

Our Canadian friends always bring us AMAZING maple syrup. Truly among the best things I've ever eaten.
-
Yesterday we had the maple syrup over french toast, it was really good. Much better than what our local stores carry.
-
No, I wasn't kidding. It was freakin' good.

There are areas in Canada known for their Maple Syrup. One of these is the Eastern Townships in Quebec. I was there this summer on vacation and we picked up a case of cans of Maple Syrup. They're about $5 per 16 ounce can if you buy from a whole case (12 cans) from a producer's storefront or a market. That's a fraction of what it costs in the supermarkets outside of Maple Syrup country.
We've given about half the case away to friends and have consumed much of the remainder. Good stuff for sure.
