Title: multiple listings for an indiviual album in view - I can't consolidate them!

there are multiple listings for an individual album! and I can't consolidate them. Can anyone help?

sorted - artist/album/track/name

but in the view there are multiple images of the album art on the left and in album, top right they are listed in a non alpha order.

am I making myself clear?

when looking for any differences, the ones that are obvious are "name" "track number" and "composer"

I think the composer is the common demoninator but I can't work out how to force them into the one "album entry"

can anyone shed any light on this perplexing issue (that is if you understand my predicement)  ;D

could it be that the album it happens to is a multiple artists album..
does it also happen when you use :
[album artist (auto)] \ album \etc

could it be that there are different values in the 'album artist' tag?

just two things that came to mind
