This pops up now and then. If I want to watch a to cd movie (2 avi's labeled [Disc #] 1 and 2), I always choose Play on the Album so both files go into Playing Now. Since shuffle always is on (using it while playing music) Disc 2 sometimes comes before Disc 1. Is it possible to configure Theater view so that it never shuffles videos for example?
Thanks!

On a side note: If the shuffle per type feature isn't there, it makes sense to have it or being able to set it simple and accessible in Theater View. Being forced to 1. Exit Theater View, 2. Change shuffle, 3. Enter Theater View, 4. Browse to wherever you were before, isn't that nice to the user.
What do you think?

What you're saying makes sense to have, yes, but (and thismay sound stupid) have you thought about using a media editing software to actually join the 2 avi files into 1?

mm...no. But now that I think of it, it's too much of a hassle for me. I rather move items around in PN than doing that. :) But that's just me!

If you are using USBUIRT or IRMAN there is a programmable control in the remote settings for Toggle Shuffle...

I use shuffle off, and set the playlist i want shuffled to "shuffled". Ctrl-R shuffles easily if I need it to. Could be assigned to a button if neccesary

Would it work to leave shuffle off, and then pick "Shuffle All" instead of "Play All" in Theater View audio?
-
I should add that I would prefer removing shuffle mode, and instead just making the shuffle button do what we now call Reshuffle. (Ctrl+R)
I think I asked about this some time ago, and a lot of people objected.

Well I don't know actually. The way I use MC nowadays, and that I really like, is to have album shuffle always on (sometimes normal shuffle as well) when I listen to music in standard mode. This I do about 80-90% of the time I use MC. When it's TV night :), we then switch to Theater View -> Video where I have the movies in Albums to not be bothered with films spanning over two discs. To play a movie, we click the album and choose Play. Here's where the flipped order problem could arise.
But back to your different proposals.

I'm not using a remote, I'm sitting on a diNovo Mini which is a keyboard/mouse combo, sorry.

I don't want to manually shuffle stuff, it would demand an extra click everytime I play a new playlist or album or anything. Most of the time, I do enjoy automatic shuffling.
But one thing that struck me is that Album Shuffle doesn't shuffle a whole album, right? Should it then shuffle Disc #? I'm not 100% sure it does, but I believe it might.
So, if Album shuffle mode works, I would go for that I think. But most preferable would of course be to set which mode you want in Theater View confguration, and I think it makes sense since every view is so special compared to normal views.

Not me. I think this is how it should work for Theater View. Please though, consider putting shuffle in an "easier-to-get-to" position on the Top roller in Theater View's Playing Now. It's just too burried where it is currently. Maybe immediately to the left of "Toggle list style"?
It would also be good to have a "shuffle remaining" option - is this already there? I can't find it.
Thanks.

If Album shuffle (Automatic shuffle I believe it's called?) is shuffling single files but sorts whole albums by track, why doesn't it honor [disc #]? Or doesn't it do that when you're in Theater View? Since I'm using Album field to "merge" two-disc movies, that would be great! And *if* Automatic shuffle is supposed to sort disc number as well as track, then it doesn't and so it's probably a bug :)
