Title: Using a 7.1 sound card for three seperate stereo zones
Post by: jpataylor on January 12, 2009, 09:46:25 am
I currently have MC running on an old PC and it's about time for an upgrade of hardware! The system I want to use is actually a server converted to a workstation so only has one PCI slot and one PCI express - not ideal for multiple sound cards! Also the the slots are in slightly akward spaces so not all cards fit!!

I was thinking of using a Creative Labs Audigy 7.1 3D Surround sound card (which I know fits) and treating it as 3 seperate stereo sound cards (Front, Side and Back, plus of course the other 2) would this work to run 3 zones with MC and what would be the best way to set it up?

Thanks

J

I just plan to buy one Creative 3D Surround sound card, do you have any answer about this now?
