I started using MJ a few months ago.
My original intent was to copy all of my CDs so I could set up the days entertainment then go about my business around the house without having to change out the CDs in my player.
Since then I have added a Yamaha external sound card, A Crown 400W Amp and Yamaha PA speakers. Needless to say I have become extremely popular at all my friend's parties. Talk about buying social acceptance.
1. I have filled up 1 Maxtor 160G Drive and I am about to start on my second drive. Will MJ see a second drive and catalog it's contents also?
2. I am running 7.2 and I am almost ready to upgrage to 8.0. Should I uninstall 7.2 or install over it?
3. Is there any way to deactivate "Play". I have had my playing now list wiped out several times because someone right clicked on Play instead of Add to Playing Now. People that have waited awhile to hear their songs become quite agitated and vocal when this happens.
Overall your program has been wonderful. The installation and operation have been 99% flawless and I look forward to installing 8.0.
It isn't very often that I am glad to send in my license fee to a software company, but you seem to be different.
Thanks and good luck in the future!

1. Yes
2. You Can Install It Over MJ7
3. 3. Is there any way to deactivate "Play".
you can set this.
settings, options, general, select bottom combo box, select "play, Playing Now" and pressing playing now will just play the playing now list, and not replace it.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad you're 99% happy!

If the PC sees the drive, MJ will work.
> 2. I am running 7.2 and I am almost ready to upgrage to 8.0. Should I uninstall 7.2 or install over it?
Just install 8.0. It will back up your data files. If you have a license back it up first on a floppy, but a 7.x license will work with 8.0.

I can't think of a solution. Maybe someone else will. Minimizing MJ might help.
I've never done it, but I believe Windows may let you lock your keyboard.

JimH
see my #3 answer, this should work for him since it will not replace his playing now list.

THANKS for your help!
See what I mean.... Do you think I would have received help from Microsoft within a few minutes?
