Theater View Customization
In Tools/Options/TheaterView, you've been able to add and remove items from display. Starting from build 114, you will now be able to add new items with custom names and complex views to the root view (starting view) of Theater View.
Here's the customization screen (http://www.jrmediacenter.com/DevZone/CustomApps/Mc130/tmp/TheaterViewCustomize.png).
You can add items under that, and specifiy the views in detail, including media types to show. This includes multiple media types, so you can, for example, create a single view that has both images and video.
This should also satisfy users who want to add TV Recordings by series and episode.
If you run another program from TheaterView, you'll find a new setting to "Hide MC" when you run it.
Matt made a lot of changes, so expect a few problems.

Which song would that be? Could you hum a few bars?
-
Love it!
Only minor bug I've found is when I select "Add Library View from Standard View..." I see a few views listed that do not appear in the Standard View tree. I recall setting these views up ages ago but they are now gone. They're called "Theater View" and "Theater View (1)" so perhaps this is a reserved name or something which causes a problem? Like I said though, I deleted them from the tree ages ago so I don't know where they're getting picked up from.
Cheers.

Ok, one more... ;D
When changing the properties of a Standard view that I've already added to Theater View, the changes are not carried over into Theater View. You need to remove it and then re-do the "Add Library View from Standard View..." for the latest changes to take effect.
Thanks.

Yes! I'm superexcited :)
I never fully embraced Theatre View as it never meshed nicely with the way I have the rest of the library set up.
So far I haven't had any problems either, so that's a good sign ;) Well done guys...

This is to be expected. It's making a copy, not a link. The views are stored and accessed independently.

That's one ticked of my list. I can have exactly what i want on the home screen and call it what i wan't and it will take me where i want to go - Nice work and thank you so much ;D ;D ;D

For a little more info on configuration, please see the thread called Configuring Theater View in 13.0.114 or later (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=50330.0).

No probs. I figured that but thought I'd ask anyway. Nice job!
