Title: Plug-In For Selective Encoding To Alternate Format
Post by: winterminute on February 03, 2009, 10:59:51 pm
All my songs are in FLAC format (or they will be when I start this project), but my MP3 players don't support FLAC and I don't have enough to space to have songs in both formats.  So, I'd like to selectively convert from FLAC to MP3 based on the MC star rating.  I figure it should be easy to write a plug-in for this, but thought I'd check in case someone has already written it.

The handheld system can convert when you sync to the player.  Take a look at the options.  It is smart enough to keep a cache of converted files, so it doesn't have to convert them the next time you sync.  You can also set up a directory on your PC as if it were a handheld.

Oooh, I love it!  Thanks for the quick reply.  Now I just need to find some other reason to play around with the MC SDK. :)
