Title: Video Playback
Post by: icehouse10 on February 12, 2009, 08:31:01 am
When I play video clips in MC13 it resumes play at the spot I last left off at.  Is there a way to make it play from the beginning of the clip each time?  Thanks.

I think it's CTRL + Play.  Or Shift + Play.

Actually I think you need to clear the bookmark.  If you press stop a second time after stopping, it clears the bookmark.

You can also show (and clear) the "Bookmark" column in any view.  There's also a "Use Bookmarking" column to allow file-by-file changes.

Many people don't have the stop button enabled, this makes pressing stop a second time impossible.
There is another option which is to clear the bookmark tag.

I think this could still do with being more intuitive.

I think Jim's "suggestion" of Alt-Play or Shift-Play are fantastic ones, FWIW...  Perhaps that could be added?  Shift+<Playback_Initiator_Command> would be my preferred method because it works well with the mnemonic "SHIFT Play back to the beginning".

I wouldn't mind being asked in some fashing where I'd like to start off from, especially for films etc.
Ideally something which reminded you when the bookmark was made.
