Title: Possible Recoring Problem
Post by: KingDoughnut on February 12, 2009, 11:13:05 am
I have JRiver loaded on two different machines.  When I try to record from streaming internet radio I get a file of zero size....whether it records for 2 min or 2 hours, it has no data.

13.0.115

Have you tried a few URLs?  Could you post the URL you're trying?

Thanks.

It happens with any station from SomaFM...I have not tried any others

I can't reproduce this.  I click a station in SomaFM, say record, and it spits a file out to my music folder.

Maybe double-check the folder in Options > File Location and double-check the folder permissions.

did you check the files integrity ?

does it have data??? can you actually play it???

it spits out a file in a folder on my system too, but it is empty [has no data] even though it records for various lengths of time.

Yes, I made a few files.  They played fine during recording and also after a restart of the player.

It could be the program.  We just need to figure out what might be different.

If nothing else, it looks like we're missing an error message.
