I was eagerly looking forward to r124 to see the remote handling improvements, but I'm still seeing an unexpected behaviour. I'm using a standard MS XP/MCE remote with XP Home. Remote handles XP/MCE itself without any problems.
The wiki states that MC13 handles the MS remotes natively, but the use of the Channel up/down keys differs with MC. I was expecting to be able to page up and down using these keys, but instead, under MC they seem to act like skip forward/back, jumping to the next audio track for example. I thought that this might just be the way my particular MCE setup was handling things, but I noticed that the MCE remote itself labels the keys Ch/Pg Up/down, so this suggest that it is a standard approach.
Should the Channel Up/Down keys be used for Page Up/Down in MC? If so, is this a bug, or have I just missed a setup option somewhere?

Channel Up/Down keys are mapped to Next Track (>>|) and Previous Track (|<<) as these are the keys used to change channels up and down in Television mode.

That explains it then. Is there a way to change the settings?
(Sorry, I don't use the TV side of the application so I've never looked at the options available)
EDIT (and I'm not at home, or else I would just go looking myself!)

I don't believe so. The MCE remote is natively supported, not via plugin.

Oops
Doesn't make a lot of sense in Theatre View for Audio, Image and Video views when you've got long lists, or lots of thumbnails.
Anybody come up with a clever workaround for this? Intelliremote perhaps?

Please wait a few builds. We're working on a lot of changes with the MCE remotes.

Many thanks, will do
