Title: Computer Beeps Twice At Random Times
Post by: datdude on February 20, 2009, 11:15:27 am
I have had my computer for about a year now, and just recently did it start beeping at me, (not from the sound card, but internally).  It seems to happen at completely random times (wake from sleep, play a video in MC, etc..), and always with 2 beeps.

I see no errors in my event viewer that relate to these beeps specifically.

Anyone have any ideas why this could be happening or how to narrow the issue down?

Thanks

Low battery?

The beeps may be documented for the motherboard.

The motherboard/bios should have an error code chart describing the beeps and their meanings, but these usually occur at boot-up. Check the manufacture's web site.

Ok, I'll have to call HP.
