Title: < 3 mbps transfer to portable. Help!

I am using MJ to sync with a Cowon D2.  The D2 is sporting a USB 2 port and I'm using the cable that came with the player connected to a USB 2 port on my computer.  I am baffled as to why the transfer rate is so sluggish.  It takes up to half an hour to transfer a few gigs.
Any suggestions?

It may just be a limitation of the device.

You could try copying some files by hand in Explorer and compare that to a copy from Media Jukebox / Media Center.

The times should come out nearly identical.

Of course, if you're converting formats as you transfer, that could also slow things down a bit.
