Is this the correct MCC command?

10029 MCC_SET_PLAYERSTATUS

I want to run a batch file to do a number of things on the HTPC, but ONLY if MC is not currently playing anything, or in an otherwise 'occupied' state (the batch involves closing down MC). Granted, I could do this at some obscure time of night - which would generally work , but I want to be sure.
