Title: Tabs Question

Count me as a person that hates the tabbed view schemed concept.  95% of the time I use the same view scheme.  I recently had to rebuild my drive, which means rebuilding all the data that I lost.  MC was a part of that.  I know it's possible but could someone please tell me how to disable the tabs?

View -> Split View -> Show Tabs
