Title: Sound Recorder ignores quiet passages in classical music

I am trying to use Sound Recorder to transscribe Shostakovich's 7th Symphony (Leningrad) from cassette.
During the quiet passages, Sound Recorder shows status "Waiting.." and doesn't record anything.
How can I disable Sound Recorder's threshold and make it start recording when I click start and continue without interruption until I click stop?
