Title: Common storage of MC settings, library for remote maintenance?

In order to avoid disturbing the main console, which displays directly on my 40" flat-screen TV, I would like to perform my system and library maintenance tasks in a remote desktop session under a different login.  Unfortunately, MC seems to strore all of its information in a user-specific way.  This means that any changes I make while logged in as a different user have no effect on MC when it runs in the default (auto-login) HTPC user account.
How can I get MC to store its data under a common profile, like "All Users".  Or how can I perform maintenance tasks from another terminal, without disturbing Theater View in the default HTPC user session?
