I tried it several times but my new bought ipod is not detected by MC13.140.
It's an ipod touch, 16 GB, last 3 digits of serial are 203, model no. is A1288
Possible I am doing something wrong? (ipod shuffle and old ipod classic working smoothly)

they (guess who ?) changed the database with 2.0 firmware upgrade
you need firmware 1.4
..and maybe itunes older version installed (not sure here)
-
i do like this,
create a virtual handheld in MC, and then drag the files onto my touch or iphone

I would prefer not to downgrade the firmware of my ipod touch. Are there plans to upgrade MC to that new database setup?
Meanwhile, I need to keep itunes on my PC.
i do like this,
create a virtual handheld in MC, and then drag the files onto my touch or iphone
That doesn't work for me. Connecting the ipod touch does not create a drive so I cannot assign a device path.

If it were simple, we'd support the Touch and the iPhone. It isn't. You could tell Apple what you want.

ok, I see. Bad news, but good to know that you do not support iphone and ipod touch.
As former ipod models worked with MC I was confident that this also applies for current models. So, I hope they one day will facilitate third-party media center software accress to their hardware. Isn't that a similar case to what Microsoft did in the past with their operating system and the must-use of internet explorer?
