Title: delete file confirmation dialog

when you delete, is there any way to have the permanently delete button checked by default; is there any way to turn off confirmation temporarily?

Like in Windows, hold down "Shift" while doing the delete and the permanent option will be selected.

With a keyboard, press Shift+Delete then Enter and you're done.

Be careful because once it's gone, it's gone.

Is there a keyboard combo to send to Recycle Bin?  Is there a way to have either option the default with a mouse?

Shift+Delete remembers whether you used the recycle bin or delete last.

There is no special mouse shortcut.
