Title: Unfortunate Topic: Overscan Correction
Post by: benn600 on March 22, 2009, 12:22:57 pm
As much as I hate dealing with overscan, the correction feature in MC is very helpful.  However, is there a way to adjust overscan horizontally and vertically independently?  I have one display that could use 10% horizontally while only 5% vertically.  Choosing the largest value leaves a lot of open space on the top and bottom.

Unfortunately, no.

Fortunately, moments ago I found a setting on our main LCD that is almost perfect--just leaves a paper thin border of unused pixels--which is better than cutting some off.  It's as close as I could hope for.

This isn't possible without distorting the image.

It is like padding on a web site.  It wouldn't necessarily have to distort the aspect ratio--just add more horizontal padding and less vertical

padding:5px 10px;
