Title: How can you convert MC13's DTV Format to MPG?
Post by: jmone on March 24, 2009, 03:47:11 pm
MC13 uses it's own container format for both TS and Recording DTV.  How can I convert these to MPG format for editing (eg say I want to edit out the ads or break a single TV recoding of music videos into individual tracks).
Thanks
Nathan

JTV files imported by MC are recognized by DirectShow.  So if you have a video editor that is based on DirectShow, it should just work.  You could also try remux it to mkv file.

Thanks Yaobing - just tried MPGStreamClip but it complained it could find no Video/Audio streams, however it did open fine in MS Moviemaker.  Any suggestions for a simple spliting tool that works with these files and outputs as MPG (I don't want to transcode just split and save in an MPG container).

Try ProjectX. It works at least for TS
