Is there some logging I can turn on to see why the Green Start button on the Microsoft 1039 Rev2 Remote/1040 Rev 1.0A receiver combo I just got isn't working in MC? EventGhost sees the event just fine and the MCE button on my keyboard works in MC. I was hoping to ditch EventGhost completely, but I guess I can configure it to fire Shift F11 when it sees the Start event until this is fixed...
This is the remote:

Yay! I thought it was just me!
I'm on XP too.
*Note to self: report all funnies, even if they are just me ;)

Oh, and apparently exactly the same model of remote.

Are you also using Eventghost?

Are you also using Eventghost?
Never even heard of it.

Are you using any other software with the remote that could be catching the buttons?

No, although I may have had HIP installed on this setup at one stage (I cant remember if I've re-installed since)
-
I know you both use some "third party plug-ins". It's not likely that this is the cause, but it's worth disabling them to test.
-
I've tried that previously, sorry. :-\

I actually uninstalled EventGhost when I removed my Hauppauge PVR-150 and it's remote and installed the new MS Remote receiver. I was about ready to completely re-install the OS too, but I finally found that the BIOS setting that allowed USB devices to wake the PC had been disabled at some point. I only re-installed EventGhost after I couldn't get the Green Button to work directly in MC. I don't think I have any 3rd party plug-ins installed at the moment either. There must be some difference between the XP driver and the Vista one.

Running XP here too and this is what I put it down to also. The green button's never worked for me without some other program catching it.
