Title: Random video clips during music playback?

Hi all,

I'd like to have my HTPC display 30-ish second random video clips from my full movie collection (no audio track required), while music plays in the foreground.  I've got a birthday party in the planning and it'll have an 80's theme, hence the desire for nostalgaic video.  It'd be a nice touch if the videos could crossfade but not necessary.

Can someone give me some clues as to how I can accomplish this?
