it would seem logical and much much more convenient as most of us are right handed for left hand panel used for tagging etc to be on the right IMHO - is it possible now / ever ??
-
Good point! I never considered it before, but I completely see how much easier it'd be.
-
Why would it be any different?
-
We have steering wheels on the right hand side in the UK and it's way better ;-)

Do you move your mouse to the left side of your keyboard when working with controls on the left side of your screen?
What about laptop touchpads and mouse sticks?

Different people work in different ways. When I tag, I've typically imported 100 or so video files with different resolutions, sources, codecs etc. I want to tag all this info, so I move back and forth between selections in standard view and the tagging video (if I'm not tagging in-line). Having hte taging window in the lower right would be easier for the back-and-forth type tagging I do. Since I'm the only one here who is me, I don't think there's much of a rationale for arguing against me on this one. :)
The way it is now works. I don't need it changed, but I can acknowledge that MC would be an iota simpler if it were.

I'm wedded to having the tagging window on the left.

could it be customisable ?

No. That would be too much for the ambidextrous user to bear.

I think to keep everyone happy it should be on both sides at the same time..

But something cannot be in two places at once unless you believe in parallel universes, so how about you put it in the middle :P

This isn't going to happen. Sorry.
