Title: Patton
Post by: JimH on April 29, 2009, 06:15:18 pm
I watched Patton last night.  Great movie with a lot of WW II history.  I think it won the Academy Award for Best Movie in 1971.  George C Scott plays Patton.  He's half nuts/half genious.  He engineered the charge through Europe after the Normandy landing.

Great film.  Geo's favorite role was in another (anti-)war great: Dr. Strangelove.  As Gen. Buck Turgidson, GCS was brilliant.

I didn't think his performance in Patton was all that different from his performance as General Buck Turgidson.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgyjlqhiTV8&feature=player_embedded
