Right now I don't use MJ as a "Video Jukebox" since it can't playback MPEG2 video files when you have a ATI All-In-Wonder card.
OK, it can play them, but only up to a certin size, like if you make the windows bigger then a 100% (size of the video).
Other players (like freeware ZOOM Player) can resize up to full screen, no matter what screen size you have.
Another thing :
Right now when I playback AVI or MPG files that has the size of 352x288 (PAL mode), it does not play back full screen..
Could we have a free aspect ratio function (couldn't find one), when we are at full screen (would be nice when useing TV out on my card.)...

I think MJ play mpegs through windows mediaplayer - do u have the same problem there?
I use a All in wonder card but without the your problems - do u have the latest driver?

"I think MJ play mpegs through windows mediaplayer - do u have the same problem there?"
Just tried playing it back in WMP under WindowsXP, and no Media Player can't play back MPEG2 files....
"I use a All in wonder card but without the your problems - do u have the latest driver?"
Well... Are you playing back MPEG2 files? (not the same as MPEG1), and yes I have the latest driver from ATI.

Henrik,
What version of MJ are you using? Please do MJ Help/System Info and paste it here.
What version of WMP?
Can you provide an example of a file that won't work?

I tried playing an MPEG2 file. It works fine in Media Jukebox and Windows Media Player 7.

JimH : "What version of WMP?"
Well since I'm using WinXP, then I would say Windows Media Player XP
Oh dear, what have I got myself into
Let me try and clear some things up.....here goes...
Since I have a ATI Radeon All-In-Wonder card (forgot to say that it is a RADEON card), a normal user would use ATI's File Player...
But since I'm a (almost) happy owner of Media Jukebox, I have to be strange and try to use MJ as a video player
If you are playing back a MPEG2 file on a system with that card and software, the video will be played back using ATI's MPEG2 filter (which I might add it VERY good).
If you playback anyother file (mpeg1 and AVI), then you use the same filters as Windows Media Player...
This Is why I ONLY see a problem with MPEG2 files..
Still with me?
very bright persons says : "why can't you then, playback the MPEG2 file in WMP......?"
Well since I have installed a DVD and MP3 packed for WMP, yes silly me...I will try and uninstall it when I have the time....
So I guess WMP tryes to playback with it's own mpeg2 filter, and that just doesn't work right now....
But this is not a problem...
Since MediaJukebox IS using the ATI filter to playback MPEG2 files.....
Did I lose anybody there....
....as me if you need more info.....(sure so EVERYONE can fall asleep)
JimH : "Can you provide an example of a file that won't work?"
Do you have a ATI RADEON card at your place? otherwise I don't see the point.....

Henrik,
Maybe your native language is Danish? You may not intend it, but your "humor" seems slightly rude and makes the post a little difficult to follow.

sorry didn't mean to :-(
Forget what I wrote....I'm not going to use Media Jukebox to play video files. (I'm happy with the way ATI file player does it).
-
Thanks. I'm glad you didn't mean it. Let us know if you want to try again. We have a lot of ATI cards and I wouldn't mind having a Radeon.
-
It must be my system, since Tinitus have no problems playing back MPEG2 files...
Maybe it is time for a clean install of Windows XP
Thanks anyway...
PS : If any Radeon owners out there have any MPEG2 playback problems, please post about it.
PPS : Tinitus? Do you run Windows XP?
