Title: How to remove nagware?
Post by: scottlindner on April 30, 2009, 03:34:04 pm
Does anyone know how to permanently remove the nagware screen on MC12 that reminds me every time I start the app that I can pay more money than I already have?

If you are referring to the check for updates screen you might consider unchecking that option under Startup.

A friend of mine who had MC12 complained to me that it kept nagging her to upgrade.

It is wrong how it comes up.  It should have an option on the window not to show this update again.
I would agree it comes across as nag ware, which considering you've already paid for the license isn't fair.

Also most non tech users would never go search for that option or know where to look.

I unchecked the option thinking it would work the way M$ updates work.  If you uncheck it, it doesn't nag you again.

If removing the option to check for updates works I'll be happy.  Thanks for the suggestion.
