Title: How to apply split view to one view scheme but not all?
Post by: tcman41 on May 05, 2009, 11:21:37 am
I am starting to get into using multiple view schemes under the audio section but split view is really confusing me.

In one view scheme i have would like to have split screen and in the other view scheme not, but every time I apply split view to one scheme it appears in both, i just don't get it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Split views are either on or off.

If you find them confusing, I'd leave them off and use tabs.

This is what I want in one view scheme but when I apply it the other view scheme gets it as well. Is there a way to lock complete views if you will?

Thanx

Matt answered that with:
Split views are either on or off.

In other words it is a Global (universal) setting, applying to all views across the board. You cannot have it appear solely in one view and not another as you would like.

Although there is a workaround:
you could click on the rail seperating the split panes and close one side in the views where you do not want a split view making it appear as if it is not there.
