Title: Naming convention of DVD files (.ifo, .vob, etc.)
Post by: raldo on May 07, 2009, 05:41:37 am
What, exactly, is the JRiver naming convention of DVD files?

I've seen files ending with [File Name] = "[...]DVD;1". Is the number significant of anything?

The number at the end is internal data, with no significance to users.

Ok.

The reason why I'm asking, is that [Filename] when used as a parameter to "Send to External"  differs from [Filename] (Does not contain ";1") when used as a search via the automation plugins (contains ";1").

I'm curious, why did you not just use the .ifo extension? It seems to me that this'll maybe create problems in the future? What if a .dvd extension becomes a new standard?
