No fix for the non-updating playing-now-list this time? It's getting boring to use build 315 :)
-
Ohhh, life is good. 330 is running like a dream. Burner is working. Could anything be better? Can you tell I'm a happy ripper again? Time to start adding to the library now.
-
I wish to have some Cd's to rip. WAAAAA!. Now, everything I do is download. WAAAAA!

Maybe Its Xtra Ingrediants

I hope this isn't really the last iteration before the next version, if that means a long delay before the next update. I hope this because:
1) Shuffle is broken. At the very least, it is currently inconsistent and counter-intuitive. I'm still at 8.0.329, but I don't see shuffle listed in the history list above.
2) Please add mjextman.exe /Clear Playing Now except for Current Song. It won't take very long. And you can use it someday to write a macro to do what I'm trying to do, which will be extremely powerful (read 'sexy for marketing').

Oh, my! Is it still winter there?

4. Fixed: CD Labeler was crashing if Print button was clicked on the print preview screen and then on the wizard dialog.
MJ is perfect now - thanks for fixing it.

What he said! With cream on.

OK, Callithumpian and Scronch. Start a new thread and copy and paste if you need to, a really good description of what you want. We'll take a look tomorrow.

If no-one understood what I was talking about earlier (and in some of the previous builds)...
Posted in build 329:
Still doesn't work:
To reproduce:
* Add all songs to 'playing now' with shuffle on
* Sort by Artist - Album - Track - Name in Playing now
* Play
When you play next song, the list doesn't update to show the currently playing song...
The list doesn't update properly unless you have it sorted by sequence. Last time I saw it worked was in build 315. Perhaps now you see what I mean?
Thx!

Nikolay,
I already asked this in the 329 thread (last message of the thread), but I'm going to ask it again:
Could you please download these two APE files:
http://users.skynet.be/bk343709/Track01.ape (3.26 MB)
http://users.skynet.be/bk343709/Track02.ape (5.91 MB)
... convert them to MPC, and check if the tags are preserved for both files ? This shouldn't take long to try. I really want to know if there's anything wrong with my PC or my APE files, or if there is still a small, nasty bug in the conversion routines (or the MPC encoder).
-
Poison Dan,
I can reproduce the problem, but I can't figure out how to fix it. It happens only with MPC files and only if you use APE tags.
Don't worry. We are working on it.

Ah, great. As I mentioned previously, it's not such a big deal, but it's a relief that at you've confirmed it to be a genuine problem. At least now I know the problem is not specific for my system.
Thanks.

2 little items for build 331:
1.) If you do a fresh install, the file associations box comes up. Let's say you check ogg's. After installation you Import Media. If you accept the default file types (and don't click on the Advanced button to see what is selected) then the ogg's will be skipped. By default the file types selections in Import Media ought to mirror those selected during initial install.
2.) This one has been mentioned before. When you click on a menu heading the menu opens. When you click on the heading again it should collapse. Currently it just blinks but doesn't collapse.
Thanks - Xenno
-
Marty3d,
The problem you have reported will be fixed in next build of Media Jukebox.
Nikolay
P.S.: if we continue releasing builds as often, very soon we will upgrade from 330 xi to 911 S :)

I think the Lexus SC 430 will come next.

mjextman.exe /Clear
After that many pretty pleases I just could not do anything but implement the feature.
To everybody - DON'T GET ANY IDEAS.

ASPI download and install apparently doesnt work here.
When selecting my cd-drive MJ prompt states that there is not alignment with current ASPI and newest (or something like that) and
asks if I want to download.
I say yes.
Then prompt says that system will have to reboot.
First time I clicked NO, cause I wanted to do the rebooting myself.
ASPI then downloaded, MJ shut down, but there was still the
"gathering information, updating view" prompt hanging for some 20 seconds, then XP appeared with the illegal action prompt for MJ.
I rebooted, started MJ up - went through the same ASPI procedure, but said "yes" in the end to the rebooting thing.
Then it downloaded and "gathering information, updating view" prompt just kept hanging there for more than 5 minutes until I lost patience - but the pc had completely frozen. However there was cpu activity, at least the pc gave the usual activity noises...
I hit alt-ctrl-del, and checked the processes and performance, and the cpu was at 99-100 % in cpu-usage....

Xstatic,
I think there is something wrong with the Adaptec's ASPI installation for Win XP. I tried to install the drivers manually but it would not update my wnaspi32.dll no matter what I do.
So now my system info looks like that:
wnaspi32.dll: 4.57 (1008) , ASPI for Win32 (95/NT) DLL, Copyright © 1989-1997 Adaptec, Inc.
Aspi32.sys: 4.71 (0001)
It still work though.
